Mary Hoenig

FT. MADISON - Mary Hoenig, 87, rural Ft. Madison, died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Jean Helling.

She was born Aug. 13, 1897, to Stephen and Louise Buechel Schroeder, Ft. Madison. She married Frank H. Hoenig Sept. ??, 1923, at Ft. Madison. He died Dec. 9, 1972.

Mrs. Hoenig was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, West Point, and of the Daughters of Isabella, Ft. Madison.

Surviving: Five sons, Frank H., Jr., Stockport, the Rev. Gerald A., and David, both of Ft. Madison, Ralph, West Point, and Albert, Montrose; four daughters Mrs. Richard (Jean) Helling, Mrs. Robert (Bernadette) Cramblit, and Mrs. Ruth Beelman, all of Ft. Madison, and Mrs. Lester (Gretchen) Joachim, Downers Grove, Ill.; 30 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, St. Mary Church, West Point, the Rev. Gerald Hoenig; Calvary Cemetery, West Point. A combined Daughters of Isabella and parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at King-Lynk Funeral Home, Ft. Madison.
