Paul Shumaker

Paul Shumaker, 55, of Davenport died Oct. 10 after an illness of several months. He was a Van Buren Community High School art instructor in the 1960s and taught adult art classes in Keosauqua.

He was born Oct. 27, 1928 at Galesburg, Ill. After leaving Keosauqua, he taught art at Central High School in Davenport for 17 years.

He is survived by his wife Sheila, and children, Jeff, Beth and Stella.

Dr. and Mrs. Kiyoshi Furumoto and Barbara Craig of Keosauqua attended the funeral service Friday.
