Eugene Holcomb

Eugene Holcomb of Camarillo, Calif., died on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 1984 in an Oxnard, Calif., hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born on Sept. 3, 1905, at Douds.

He had lived in Ventura County in California for 24 years in Santa Cruz, Calif., and was retired after a 25 year career as a contract administrator.

He and his wife, Estella Holcomb, celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on Oct. 3, 1984. She survives, also surviving are three daughters, Viva Gene Streed of San Diego, Calif., Martella Ann Major of Lorillia, Iowa, and Marlene Akers of Camarillo, three sons, Robert T. and Bernard Joshua both of Camarillo, Calif., and Daniel Dwight of Portland, Ore., one sister, Dela Stewart of Bloomfield, 16 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association in Ventura County, Calif.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 22, at Griffin Brothers Camarillo Chapel with Rev. Boyd Baker officiating. Burial was at Conejo Mt. Memorial Park, Camarillo, Calif. The Griffin Brothers Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
