Mrs. Julia Ann Sleek

Mrs. Julia Ann Sleek, 86, Montrose, passed away at 10:30 P.M. Wednesday, Dec. 30 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She had been ill for the past six months.

Mrs. Sleek was the daughter of the late John R. and Martha Shuttlesworth Talbott. She was born Nov. 4, 1884, in Clark County, Missouri. She was married to Charles Allen Sleek, May 4, 1915, in Kahoka. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1966.

She was a member of the Montrose Methodist Church.

She is survived by one brother, Ernest Talbott, Wayland, Mo.; one niece, Mrs. Virgil (Louise) Nehrkorn, Savanna, Ill.; two nephews, James Talbott and John Talbott of Keokuk; and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 3, at the Schmidt Memorial Home with the Rev. H.F. Wilhelm officiating. Interment was in the Sands Cemetery, St. Francisville, Missouri.
