William E. Lamb

William Elmer Lamb, 71, died Sunday, Dec. 27, at the Henry County Memorial Hospital in Mt. Pleasant.

He was born Oct. 3, 1899, in Greenwood County, Kan., the son of Hiram and Alberta Beechley Lamb. He married Edna Abbott at Ackron, Colo., Oct. 30, 1929.

A retired mechanic, Lamb had worked at the IAAP.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Florence Coughlin and Mrs. Faye Heartsill, both of Salem, and Mrs. Ilene Thompson, Rock Island, Ill.; three brothers; four sisters; 12 grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Wednesday, Dec. 30 at the Beatty-Jennings funeral chapel in Salem with the Rev. Wayland Brown officiating. Burial was in the Salem Friends Cemetery.
