Mrs. Emma Hawk

FARMINGTON - Mrs. Emma Hawk, 78, of Farmington, died unexpectedly Tuesday, 12:45 p.m., in Henry County Memorial hospital, Mount Pleasant.

She was born Feb. 3, 1893, in the Sharon community near Farmington, daughter of Rudolph and Barbara Becker Jesberg. She married Earl Hawk of Bonaparte on Jan. 29, 1913. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Sharon Presbyterian church and a retired employe of W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co., Fort Madison.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Miller of Hillsboro; one sister, Mrs. Edward Heise of Farmington; one grandson and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ernest Jesberg.

Funeral will be Friday, 2 p.m. in Sharon Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Kenneth Harden will officiate. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery.

The body is at Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home, Donnellson, where the family will receive friends from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. today.
