Mrs. Mae Crown

Mrs. Mae Starr Crown, 70, of Bonaparte, died Wednesday, Sept. 8 at 4 p.m. in the Hainline Rest Home, Bonaparte. She had been ill one month.

She was born Sept. 28, 1900 in Lee County, the daughter of Charles and Cora West Starr. She married George Crown in May of 1919 at Ft. Madison.

Mrs. Crown moved to Farmington from Ft. Madison in 1949. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Joan) Miller of Farmington and Mrs. Carroll (Mary) Johnson of Davenport; one sister, Pearl Dooley of Nevada; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, one sister and two grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home, Farmington with the Rev. Gary Worsham officiating. Burial will be in the Croton Cemetery.
