Mary Alice Wilson

FARMINGTON - Mary Alice Wilson, 90, Farmington, died at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, March 2 at Van Buren County Memorial hospital.

Mrs. Wilson was born on April 11, 1891, at Marysville, Iowa. A resident of Farmington for the past 23 years, she was a member of of the Order of Eastern Star in Farmington. She also was a member of the Methodist church at Athens, Mo.

On Nov. 8, 1918 at Rockville, Md., she was married to I.J. Wilson, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are a son, Donald J., Kahoka, Mo.; two daughters, Evelyn Montgomery, Freeport, Ill., and Marjery Prosch, Des Moines; a brother, Lee C. Smith, Independence, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Lawrence (Grace) Boley, Granger, Mo.; and six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by four brothers, a sister and a grandchild. Her parents were Charles and Amanda Kelsey Smith.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Farmington United Methodist church with the Rev. Jim Rozendaal officiating. Burial will be in Greenglade cemetery, Farmington.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at the Hofbauer Funeral home in Farmington. Family will meet with friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 Thursday evening.
