Paul Brown Dies at 44
Cantril Farmer Succumbs Following Operation; Leaves Wife, 2 Children, Grandchildren

Paul S. Brown of Cantril died at the Ottumwa hospital in Ottumwa Friday following an appendix operation a few weeks ago.

Mr. Brown, who was 44 years old, was born at Lebanon, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Brown. He was married to Miss Florence Kreiss in June, 1918.

Surviving are his wife; two children, Dale S. at home and Mrs. Lois Lorraine McDowell of Ottumwa; two grandchildren, three brothers, Chester of Lebanon, Foster of Mt. Union and Swires of Mt. Pleasant, and six sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Roberts of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Helen Davis of Fairfield, Mrs. Irene Koonts of Lebanon, Mrs. Dora Bissell of Ottumwa, Mrs. Willa Taylor of Toledo and Mrs. Aletha Carpenter of Villa Park, Ill.

Funeral services were conducted at the Lebanon Methodist church at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon by the Rev. Jay Waterman of Keosauqua and the Rev. Jay Waterman of Cantril. Music was {Note: The rest of the obituary is cut off.]
