Fletcher Info

FLETCHER, SPILLMAN, PHILLIPS, TAYLOR, DAVIS, LYNCH, HUTSON, NICHOLS, MOONEY, WHITAKER AND MORE

I am searching for information on the surname, FLETCHER. My grandparents, Lorenzo and Ethel SPILLMAN FLETCHER, were born in North Carolina, and after their marriage in 1912, they went west to Iowa. While there, they had a child that died and was buried there. She was born and died in 1913, her name Annie or Pearl FLETCHER. I was just trying to find out why they went to Iowa? If it was to visit relatives or why? They came in a covered wagon. I heard it was Des Moine but saw a picture of the child's grave and I think it was Maxwell, Iowa, where she was buried. Can anyone help with this search? There were people with the surname of UNDERWOOD, that sent the picture from Iowa years ago to my mother.

Help appreciated.

Fran
