It looks like the name may be Edler and not Adler.

Services To Be Friday Morning at Hoskins Funeral Home
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Hoskins Funeral Home for David Edler, 77, Fairfield West End addition resident who died at his home at 11 p.m. Tuesday. He had been confined to his home for the last three years. Edler was born in Iowa on July 3, 1860 and had been a resident of the West End for the last 19 years. He is survived by four grandchildren and four brothers, John, Lewis, Pete and Frank of Fairfield. Services will be conducted by Dr. W. F. Rex. Interment will be in the Evergreen cemetery [Fairfield, Iowa].

August 14, 1818 --- February 24, 1906

Fredric Christian Edler died Saturday afternoon, February 24th, at one o'clock, after a short illness with pneumonia. He was born at Braemer Haven, Germany August 14, 1818 and came to this country when nineteen years of age. In 1842 he was married to Catherine Lindsley, to which union twelve children were born. Of this number there are seven left to mourn the loss of a kind father, they are: Frederick Haven; Matilda, wife of J. T. Frazier; John Levi; Lewis George; David Solomon; William Peter and Frank Fredric, all of whom were present when death came. Besides the children there are twenty-nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The funeral service was held Monday from the German Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. Giering, with internment in the church cemetery. [Hope Lutheran Cemetery, Germanville, Jefferson County, Iowa]
