Was Tama Co. ever a peice of Johnson Co.? I have an obit. for my ggg grandaunt, Martha A. EARHART(HARTMAN) that says her family settled in Howard Twp., Johnson Co., and that it was her home until her death. However, when I looked up my family in Iowa, the 1860 census lists them in Howard Twp., Tama Co.!? What is going on here?
