Fronsdahl Funeral Services at Slater

Special to the Journal
Slater, May 13--Funeral services for Eli O. Fronsdahl of near Huxley, were held Wednesday afternoon, 2:00 at the Riis Funeral home in Slater and 2:30 o'clock at the Bethlehem church. The services were in charge of Rev. E. R. Rorem. For the scripture passage he read the twenty-third Psalm. The many beautiful floral offering were cared for by Mrs. Oley Houge and Mrs. Howard Estrem.

The pall bearers were Knutey Ryen, Art and Elmer Torgerson of Slater, Sam Tesdahl, Sanford Heggen and Paul Lee of Huxley.

Miss Margaret Fritz sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and Mesdames Heggen and A. I. Peterson sang two duets "Sometime We'll Understand" and "God's Way Is the Best Way."

The following friends gave a sum of money to the missions in memory of Mr. Fronsdahl: Mrs. Louise Estrem, Mrs. Mabel Trumbull and Mr. and Mrs. Cedric Anderson of Sheldahl, Mrs. Hilda Van Scoy of Ames, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Largent of Fort Dodge, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Estrem of Portland, Oregon, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Sheldahl of Cambridge and Messes and Mesdames Art Estrem, Howard Estrem, Andrew Estrem, Bert Estrem and Oley Houge of Slater. Burial was made in Palestine.

Eli Oley Fronsdahl was born on a farm near Slater, February 5, 1892, and died May 9, 1937 at the Iowa Lutheran hospital, Des Moines, at the age of 45 years, 3 months and 4 days. His parents were Charles and Elizabeth Fronsdahl. His marriage to Miss Ella Sesker of Cambridge took place October 31, 1917.

They made their home on a farm near Slater, but recently moved south of Huxley.

He leaves to mour his loss his wife and daughter Dorothy age 9, two sisters, Mrs. Ingval Estrem and Mrs. Oliver Newman of Slater and two brothers Tom Fronsdahl of Westbrook, Minn. and Clarence Fronsdahl of Woodburn, Oregon, besides numerous relatives and friends.
