Mrs. David Brooks Dies Wed. Morning; Rites Are Pending

Mrs. David Brooks, West E. Ave., Nevada, died this morning at the Bryan Nursing Home in State Center here she had been a patient the past four years. She was 77.

Jennie Burnett was born in Ireland June 3, 1888, the daughter of Alexander and Katherine Burnett. She had lived in Story County since 1913.

She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church, Nevada.

Survivors include sons Lester Brooks, Virgil Brooks and LaVerne Brooks, all of Nevada, and daughters Mrs. Genevieve Myrland of Austin, Minn.; Mrs. Virginia Jacobson of Nevada and Mrs. Isabelle Hillis of Story City; 25 grandchildren, and one brother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, three brothers and her husband, David, who died in 1961.

The body is at Ryans Funeral Home in Nevada where funeral arrangements are pending.
