Henk;
I have read your query concerning the Van Der Wiel siblings mentioned. I have started a brief search for information. These people lived in the South west part of Iowa (Pella area) initially and you have contacted the Sioux County Iowa site which is in North West Iowa some 250-300 miles from the area where the Van Der Wiels first came to. I started with the Egbert Van Hulzen line and they family moved first to Nebraska around 1885 and then to Kansas from 1895-1910 census reports. Egbert and Wietske had at least four children Jacob, Tryntje, Jan and Grietje or Maggie.
To find all I can about these families would take me many hours of searching and hunting. My time in limited so you may wish to contact the Marion or Mahaska County Iowa genealogy societies also. Let me know if you want me to spend numerous hours at this as then I would need to have some compensation for our society.
