From the Sioux Center News, May 26, 1938:

Margaret Mulder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mulder, died in the family home in Kimberly, Idaho, on Thursday morning, May 5.

Margaret attended Kimberly high school last year. She had been a member of Mr. Crowser’s School class in the Methodist church until her illness since last July 10 necessitated her absence.

She was born in Rock Valley, Ia., and moved a year and a half years ago. She was 17 years old last October 30. She leaves, besides her parents, two brothers, Bernard, 19, and Harold, 14, and a sister, Alma Mae, 10.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 Saturday afternoon in the Kimberly Methodist church, with Reverend T. W. Bowmar, pastor of the church officiating. “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Have Thine Own Way Lord” were sung by the Torchbearers Sunday school class, with Mrs. T. W. Bowmar accompanying the group on the piano.

Pallbearers were E. Dykstra, B. Walhof, D. Jansen, H. Jansen, Chas. Mulder and Franklin Mulder. Interment was made in Sunset Memorial park. – Rock Valley Bee.

Her death certificate gives her birth date as October 30, 1920, in Rock Valley; parents Henry Mulder, born in Chicago, Illinois, and Mary Van Sloten, born in Holland; resident of Kimberly, Idaho 1 year 6 months; occupation, student; died at 6 a.m. May 5, 1938; cause, chronic valvular disease, onset 5-1-38; contributory causes, influenza, onset 4-20-38, and bronchiatic [illegible], onset 4-23-38.
