The sad news of the death of Mrs. Clay, formerly of Sheldon but lately of Spokane Washington, was received here Tuesday. Mrs. Clay was a sister of Dr. Alden Leard of Spencer, Mrs. George Bolks and Mrs. Arthur Melrose, and she was well known in Sioux county. We have not been able to learn the cause of her death.
