Education: Graduated from Widefield High School in Security, CO; she continued with her education and graduated from Regis University in Denver, CO with her teaching degree. She had graduated at the top of her class in both high school and college.
Religious affiliation: Baptized and later confirmed into the Catholic faith; was a member of St. Mary Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Portsmouth, IA for several years. After the couple moved to Harlan, IA, she joined St. Michael’s Catholic Church. She taught CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) there.

Employment: After completing college, Bonnie worked as a teacher for 1 year in Colorado; after her marriage, the couple moved to Joe’s family farm in Iowa and Bonnie was a farmer’s wife and raised their 6 children there.
Hobbies/Interests: Playing board games with her family, reading, crafting and cross-stitching; enjoyed visiting Colorado to see the mountains and her extended family, but her greatest joy was time spent with her children and grandchildren.
