Employment: Before her marriage, Aletha worked on the family farm and as a waitress; after raising their children and while still helping farm their acreage, Aletha worked for Clarence Kiesel’s Trucking for 33 years.

Hobbies/Interests: Member, the American Legion Auxiliary; member, Bridges and a member of the Red Hat Society; involved in the Senior Citizens Friendship Club selling poppies each year and volunteering on Election Days; volunteered to work with the Bloodmobile, church Bible School, Memorial Day activities, and school reunions. In 1995, the American Legion Auxiliary decided to collect tabs to help buy supplies for the Ronald McDonald House; Aletha set a goal of collecting 10 million. She reached it and bypassed it; loved baking and collecting recipes; always had a huge garden, and shared the bounty with neighbors and friends; enjoyed playing SkipBo.
