Last rites for Harlan Pingel, 69, Big Rock, were held at Wilton Dec. 1 with the Rev. L. Jack Ehlers officiating. Burial was in Pine Hill cemetery, Wheatland. Pallbearers were Douglass, Gary and Gregory Pingel, James Harris, Fred Meyer and Delmar Marten.

Mr. Pingel died at Mercy hospital, Davenport, Nov. 29.

The son of Walter and Hulda Petersen Pingel, he was born in Big Rock Nov. 3, 1914. He had farmed in the Big Rock area.

He is survived by his mother, Big Rock and 2 brothers, Luverne A., Lowden and Merle, Big Rock. He was preceded in death by his father.
