Donald F. Schweska, 83, of Moline, passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at home.
Funeral services will be 10am, Monday, August 8, 2022 at Faith Walk World Outreach, Silvis. Visitation will be 1-3pm Sunday at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111-1st St A, Moline. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline with Military Honors by American Legion Post 246, Moline. Memorials can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Donald was born September 16, 1938 in Springfield, the son of Fred and Pearl Schweska. He married Judith Lyons Yeager on April 2, 1971 in Rock Island.
Donald served as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps, and was very proud of being a Marine. Donald retired from Modern Woodman of America, Rock Island as a printer pressman.
Donald was a member of many bowling leagues and served as secretary in the Milan Classic League. He bowled in the American Bowling Congress Championship and was inducted in the Greater Rock Island County USBC Hall of Fame.
Survivors include his wife, Judie; children, Thomas Schweska, Milledgeville, IL, Susan Lang, Rock Island, Michael Schweska, Sierra Vista, AZ, John Schweska, Erie, PA, William “Bart” (Maria) Yeager, Fairfax Station, VA, and Bradley (Peggy) Yeager, East Moline; 18 grandchildren and 19 great- grandchildren.
