Gary was born on September 22, 1938 and passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016. Gary was a resident of Bettendorf, Illinois at the time of his passing. He served in the US Navy on the aircraft carrier USS Essex CVA-9. He was married to Betty. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday December 23 2016 at Our Lady of the River Catholic Church Le Claire IA with a visitation from 10:00 until the service time. Additional visitation is from 4:00 â 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 299. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Our Lady of the River Church or Sacred Heart Church Moline.
