1880 US census Davenport, IA: John Henrichsen age 48 born Germany; wife Ida age 41 born Prussia, daughter Matilda age 19 and daughter Martha age 16.

1900 US census Davenport, IA: Ida Hinrichsen age 61 born Germany, widowed, mother of 6 with 4 living. Living with her are daughter Matilda S. age 39, Mattie A. age 36 and Rhea age 16.

The funeral services for the late Mrs. Ida Hinrichsen will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late residence, corner Eighth and Main streets, and interment will be in Fairmount cemetery.
Ida Effey was born in Westphalia, Germany, 65 years ago. In the early 50s she came to this country with her father, Peter Casper Effey, and the family, and to Davenport, where she has since resided. Forty-six years ago she was wedded to John C.M. Hinrichsen, a well known musician and paper hanger. To the union four children were born and all survive to mourn the death of the mother. Her husband died six years ago.
