CLEARFIELD FORMER RESIDENT DIES

J. William BEATTY, son of John and Sarah BEATTY, died May 13 at his home in Des Moines, aged 73 years. Mr. BEATTY at one time owned and operated a clothing store in Clearfield and spent the major part of his life in the Clearfield community.

He is survived by his wife, the former Annabel PALMER; two sons, Francis and Paul BEATTY; four daughters, Gladys, Donna, Pauline and Margery; one sister, Belle SMITH of Omaha.

Funeral services were held from the Hamilton Funeral Home in Des Moines with burial in that city [Higland Memory Gardens, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa].

JAMES W. BEATTY DIES HERE at 73

James W. BEATTY, 73, of 2245 E. Grand Ave., died Friday evening at home of a heart aliment. He had been ill for two years.

Born near Diagonal, Mr. BEATTY lived in Des Moines 22 years. He was a member of the Clearfield Masonic lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Annabel; two sons, Francis, Des Moines and Paul, Dubuque; four daughters, Mrs. Marjorie STEWART, Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Pauline BELL, Houston, Tex.; and Mrs. Donna STOOKY and Mrs. Gladys POZ, both of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Annabell SMITH, Bloomington, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren.
