Mrs. Anderson Dies Here at 48
Mrs. Dorothy Anderson, 48, of 1402 Havens Road, died of cancer Monday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital after a 5 ½ year illness.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Garden.
A lifetime resident of Des Moines, Mrs. Anderson was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, and the Parent-Teacher Association at Watrous School and Kurtz Junior High School.
Surviving are her husband, Loyal; three daughters, Mrs. Beverly Fry, Mrs. Kay Lambert and Mrs. Frances Nelson, all of Des Moines; two sons, Loyal William Anderson, 14, and Jack Lewis Anderson, 11, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Joanne Thornton, St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Thelma Swartsfager, Des Moines; two brothers, Jack L. De Moss, and William De Moss, both of Des Moines, and six grandchildren.
