Deloris Darlene Carman daughter of Homer Lowell Sayles and Hazel Mary Higgins-Sayles, was born on March 17, 1934 in Perry, Iowa and died September 22, 2012 at the Spurgeon Manor in Dallas Center, Iowa. She was 78. Deloris went to school in Woodward where she graduated high school in 1952. After high school she attended college at Iowa Beauty School in Des Moines. On October 11, 1956 Deloris married Carl Clayton Carman at the Christian Church in Woodward, Iowa. She worked as a beautician for 46 years at Gary's Hairstyling and later retired from JH Goodhair in Des Moines. Deloris enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, traveling with Carl, dogs, square dancing and angel collections. She loved her Irish Heritage and her birthday celebrated on St. Patrick's Day. Deloris liked listening to music especially Irish love ballads. She was baptized at the Christian Church here in Perry, Iowa.

Deloris is preceded in death by her parents Lowell and Hazel Sayles; husband Carl Carman (3/17/2001); infant sister Rosaliene and brother Larry Sayles.

Deloris will be dearly remembered by her brother Richard (Teddie) Sayles of Waukee; sister-in-law Connie Sayles of Perry; aunt Lois Peel of Perry; Nieces & Nephews: Rodney (Chris) Sayles of Perry, Rhonda (Dennis) Meyer of Morgan, MN, Roxanne (Bob) Brown of Rippey, Vicki (Gene) Lickteig of Urbandale, Julie (Dan) Dunwiddie of St. Louis, MO; 8 great nieces & nephews; several great-great nieces & nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Hastings Funeral Home in Perry with burial at Violet Hill Cemetery.
