Mary McFadden, 68, peacefully passed away September 19, 2012.

Mary was born September 21, 1943, in Des Moines, to Donovan Bothwell and Lois Neff. She groomed dogs for years in her home. Mary enjoyed fishing, traveling, and crocheting. She loved going to the Iowa State Fair every year. Mary was a proud grandmother of six grandchildren: Daniel, Zachary, Megan, Luke, Tyler, and Taylor; and four great-grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her children, Kathy (Dan) Waskel, Leroy McFadden, and Melinda (Craig) Michaels; and her siblings, Carol McFadden, Raymond Neff, Bruce Neff, and Mark Bothwell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; parents, Lois and John Neff and Donovan Bothwell; and a brother, Donnie Bothwell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2012, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
