Mable Campbell, 81, went home to be with the Lord early Thursday morning, September 20, 2012. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends whom she loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, 2012, at New Hope Assembly of God, located at 6800 Townsend Avenue in Urbandale, IA, where the family will greet friends from 2 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service time on Sunday. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa.

Mable was born January 29, 1931, in the mountains of Copperhill, TN. She attended the University of TN where she met and married her husband, H. W. "Humpy" Campbell in 1953. Mable taught school for a few years before settling down to raise her children. Mable's parents, Willard and Eunice Taylor; sister, Margaret Jean Eberle and her husband, John; husband, H.W. Campbell; and son-in-law, Bob Uttenreuther preceded her in death.

Her beautiful spirit will be missed by her daughter, Laura Uttenreuther of Clive, IA; a son, Wren (Bonnie) Campbell of West Des Moines, IA; a daughter she adopted into her heart, Pam (Jim) Septer of Adel, IA; five grandchildren, RJ (Natalie) Uttenreuther of Des Moines, Lindsey (Tom) Klidzejs of Woodbury, MN, Seth, HW, and Sherman Campbell of West Des Moines; and a great grandson, Hunter; four nephews, Jack (Brenda) Eberle, Stuart (Jeannette) Eberle, Nick (Jodi) Hyde, Lane (Missy) Hyde; two nieces, Annice (Ralph) Yeary and Holly Hyde; two great nieces, Mackenzie Hyde and Elle Hyde; and great nephew, Cooper Hyde.

Mable was a true believer in the Lord and an inspiration to all who knew her. Her positive attitude toward life was unparalleled as she trusted the Lord with every detail.

"No worries...I'm fine!" Mable is truly home now and dancing with the angels.
