An Old Soldier Passes Away

A Mr. Scott who for the past few years has lived on the old Brown place at the head of Medium lake died Saturday. He had been ill for some time. The remains were taken to Otho, Webster county, last evening for burial He was 75 years old and was a veteran of the civil war. He had been married twice. One son and daughter and his second wife survive him. The Democrat did not know him, but those who knew him during the few years he lived in Palo Alto county, speak very highly of him. The surviving relatives have the sympathy of all in their sorrow.
