I believe that George was the son of Frederick (born in England) and Louisa Radford (born in England) of Brooklyn Ward 22, Kings, New York. Frederick died between 1870 and 1880 leaving Louisa with eight children. By 1880 Louisa was stilling in Brooklyn but it looks like her children that were quite small in 1865 and 1870 are no longer with her. Only the older children.

According to the New York, New York Death Index, Frederick died 25 Dec 1877.
