Obituary
Eugene White

Eugene White, son of Marcellus and Jennie Brougher White, was born November 16, 1869 at N. Vernon, Indiana. He came to Iowa in 1888 and on January 28, 1895 at Webster City, he was united in marriage to Katherine Kearney of Primghar. To this union were born three children: Leslie of Sheldon; (Marie) Mrs. Wm. Frericks, at home; and (Irene) Mrs. Albert Luethje of Luverne, Minn. Mrs. White preceded him in death, April 16, 1926.

Mr. White was engaged in various work and for a number of years as a drayman. He was a member of Odd Fellow Lodge and Locke Rebekah Lodge 430, having been admitted into the Primghar Lodge 506 I. O. O. F., April 24, 1894 and was a member in good standing at the time of his death. He was also a member of Cherokee Enc. No. 147, I. O. O. F. of Cherokee, Iowa. He had passed through all the chairs in the subordinate lodge.

Marie stayed in the home caring for her mother until her death, and has been a constant companion to her father since her mother's death. Besides his three children, he leaves to mourn his passing, two grandchildren, Audrey and Keith and two brothers, Wm. F. White of Indianapolis, Ind., and Jessie White, of Minneapolis, Minn. Services were held Friday, May 21 at the Congregational church in Primghar with Rev. A. Morris Lotte officiating. Burial was made in a Sheldon cemetery beside his wife.
