Funeral services for Arthur C. Siems, 61, were held at the Lacock Funeral home, Durant, Feb. 17 with the Rev. L. Jack Ehlers officiating. Burial was in the Durant cemetery. Mr. Siems died at Mercy hospital, Davenport, Feb. 15.

Pallbearers were Dennis Wulf, Arno Meincke, Eugene Wuestenberg, Kevin Wells, Ralph Gronewold and Kenny Lamp. Honorary bearers were Harold Guyer and Jack Worley.

The son of Charles and Ida Lamp Siems, he was born in Muscatine county Oct. 15, 1922. He married Vanola Meincke in Scott county Sept. 9, 1944.

He was a member of the Walcott Community club and the Davenport Moose lodge. After retiring from farming he worked at the Sunbury Elevator and the Durant Community schools.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Cyndi Holladay, Durant, 2 grandsons and a sister, Alice Wulf, Durant. He was preceded in death by a sister.
