Funeral services for Phillip Nussbaum, 65, West Liberty, were held May 23 at the United Methodist church in West Liberty, with the Rev. Frank Greenwood officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery.

Mr. Nussbaum died May 20, at his home after a short illness.

He was born July 24, 1917 in Rock Island county, IL to Phil and Gladys Foster Nussbaum. He married Arlene Blaser June 10, 1945 in Taylor Ridge, IL.

Mr. Nussbaum was a retired farmer and had worked at Walnut Grove Co. in West Liberty. He was a member of the West Liberty United Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Dolores) Krizan, Iowa City; a son, Lloyd, Evanston, IL; a sister, Marie Anderson, Aledo, IL; a brother, Clifton, Rochelle, IL and 2 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
