Member of Soldier Lutheran Church remembered

Jerry A. Mauch, age 57 of Mapleton died Monday, October 2, 2006 in Marshalltown, Iowa.

Services were held 10:00 a.m.Thursday, October 5 at the Armstrong Funeral Home in Mapleton with Pastor Meggan Manlove officiating. Burial was in St. Clair Cemetery. Ute with military graveside honors by the American Legion Grimsely- Thayer Post #502 of Castana. Julie Hamann was the organist for the service.

Jerry Allen Mauch was born April 13, 1949, at Mapleton, Iowa the son of Vernon and Evva (Greenough) Mauch He attended various schools and helped the family with the service station business in both Bevington and Soldier, Iowa He was a confirmed member of the Soldier Lutheran Church.

Jerry served his country with United States Army from 1969 to 1971, having been stationed in Germany After his honorable discharge, he worked for Rohlin Construction Company of Estherville, Iowa and later for Mac's Chevrolet and Body Shop in Mapleton.

Survivors include one son and his wife, Jason and Meg Mauch of Castana, Iowa, two grandchildren, Colby and Lorissa Mauch; his mother, Evva Mauch of Whiting, Iowa, two sisters and their husbands, Dorothy and Lyle Hale of Dallas Center and Linda and Warren K of Van Meter. Iowa, two brothers, Jim Mauch and his wife Donis, of Soldier low and Rusty Mauch of Sioux City, Iowa, along with aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousin.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father,Vernon Mauch in 1989, and three brothers Daniel "Whitey". and Vernon Mauch, Jr in infancy.

Pallbearers were James Mauch. Eric Greenough, (unreadable)Mauch, Don Green, Colby Mauch, Eugene Greenough. Jeremy Yanak and Lorissa Mauch.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Armstrong Funeral Home, Mapleton
