River Victim Is Buried At Ute

Leslie Weatherby, 20 years old, a resident of Mapleton, was buried here at St. Clair Cemetery Saturday afternoon.

Weatherby was drowned Thursday morning, March 24, in the Missouri River two miles south of Dakota City, Nebraska, while wading to inspect a broken dike.

Leslie was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Weatherby and the family had resided on a farm in the northwest corner of St. Clair Township before moving to Mapleton this spring.
