Rites For Mrs. Kane

Mrs. Ida Pearl Kane, 69, died Tuesday at 2:05 p.m., at the Jefferson County Hospital where she was admitted Sunday. She had been in failing health for some time.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m., at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Miller officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Kane was born Aug. 6, 1905 in Mahaska County, the daughter of Jasper and Myrtle Ross Allison. She was reared and educated at Mystic. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

She married Lotas Raymond Ollom in Oskaloosa in 1923. He died in 1950.

She was married to Earl Kane on May 12, 1951 in Ottumwa.

Mrs. Kane is survived by one son, Roy Ollom of Fairfield, three grandchildren; eight stepchildren: Mrs. Herb Shaw of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. John Schenk of Winfield, Mrs. Leonard Webster of St. Louis, Leonard Kane of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. James Ferrell of Littleton, Colo., Lester Kane of Arlington Heights, Ill., Mrs. J.L. Rodenmayer of Ashland, Ore.

She is also survived by 24 step grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren and five brothers, Andy Allison of Janesville, Wis., Harold and Paul Allison of Eddyville, Willard and Charles Allison of Ottumwa and one sistr, Mrs. Leona Johnston of Eddyville.

She was preceded in death by one sister, one brother and one stepdaughter.
