According to Sarah Clampitt's tombstone, she died on December 8, 1871, age 39 years, 7 months and 1 day and not in 1873.

It appears that her widower, William Clampitt, may have then married Sarah's sister, Polly Ann Keathley, after her death. Both Sarah "Sally Ann" and Polly Ann are from Lawrence County, Indiana.

The marriage on August 16, 1825 in Lawrence County between Jesse Keathley and Polly Donica may be the parents of Sarah Ann Keathley. Jesse married again to Louisa Jane (Alexander) Hunter on October 25, 1849 so Polly must have died shortly before. In the 1850 census for Pleasant Run, Lawrence County, Indiana taken October 15, 1850, Jesse Keithley, age 44, is enumerated with his family. Little Polly is age 1 so her mother Polly probably died in childbirth and then Jesse married Louisa Hunter, a widow with two children.

Officiator's Name: Nathaniel Williams, Minister

Same Minister married both Polly Clampett to Enoch Martin and Polly A. Keithley to William Clampitt.

This Polly A. Clampett Martin was born on March 12, 1849 and died January 22, 1885 with burial in the in Lawrence County, Indiana in the Leatherwood Cemetery. Could she be Polly Ann Keithley? Her dates could match.
