Fayola McKee was born Sept. 27, 1923, to Lloyd and Lela (Myers) Reigle in Madison County, Iowa. She passed away March 29, 2024, at Waterford Gardens Assisted Living in Mission, Texas.

She attended Jefferson township country school and graduated from Winterset High School in 1941. On Oct. 26, 1941, Fayola married Gayle McKee, son of John and Elsie (Addy) McKee. She worked at various jobs including 29 years for Madison County. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Eastern Star in Winterset. Gayle and Fayola started spending winters in Mission, Texas, in 1986 and in 2000 they became permanent residents there.

Fayola was preceded in death by her husband, Gayle; parents, Lloyd and Lela Reigle; sister, LaVaun Perkins; nieces, Patricia Lull and Margann McKee; and nephew, Maurice McKee. She is survived by niece, Marcia Weis of Atlantic, Iowa. Burial of her cremains will be in the Winterset Cemetery at a later date.
