Ruth N. Cornelison, 68
Funeral services for Ruth Naomi Cornelison, Frederick, Md., formerly of Red Oak, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Nelson-Boylan Funeral Chapel in Red Oak in conjunction with memorial services for her daughter Rita Marie Murphy of Springfield, Va. The Rev. Peggy Cooper will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak. Family visitation will be from 7-8 p.m. tonight at Nelson-Boylan Funeral Chapel in Red Oak. She died Thursday (Feb. 15, 1990) at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, Md., following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Cornelison was born March 14, 1921, in Winterset to William and Blanch Brooker. She married James Clark Cornelison Nov. 19, 1936, in Grant City, Mo. She was a dispatcher for the Red Oak Police Department. She retired in August of 1985 and moved to Frederick, Md. She was a member of the Red Oak Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one son, Gary Cornelison; one daughter, Twila Harville; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, William Brooker; and two sisters, Norma Hamilton and Helen Jorgensen.
