Mrs. William Norris died suddenly at her home in Fredonia, Friday morning, October 27, 1905. She had not been in good health for over a year. Last spring she had a very severe illness and at times her life was despaired of, but she rallied and hopes were entertained of her complete restoration to health. After her severe illness she and her husband rented their home, the former Milton Carpenter place and spent several months with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Masonholder, of Letts, the latter being their only daughter. In July they went to Grand Junction, Colorado and spent a few weeks with their oldest son, Lewis and family. After their return they took up their residence at Fredonia, near which place their son, J. M. Norris and family reside.

Miss Rebecca Jane Booth, for such was her maiden name was born in Coshocton county, Ohio. In early life she was united in marriage with M. Wm Norris. To this union three sons and one daughter, all are surviving except one son, Charley who died when a child and is buried in Brockway cemetery where are the graves of her parents and a young sister. The funeral was held from the Reformed church at Conesville, Sunday, October 29 and the mortal remains interred in the Conesville cemetery, Rev. Lafever officiating. She united with the Reformed church at Conesville under the pastorate of Rev. David Fouse, several years ago. She remained here below fifty-eight years, four months and fifteen days. Besides her husband and children, grandson, son-in-law and daughters-in-law she leaves a sister, Mrs. Richard Norris, of Nichols, Iowa.
