Mrs. Sarah A. Carr was born in Union county, Indiana April 28, 1829, and died at her home in Union township, this county, Monday morning, 12:30, November 14, 1892. Her maiden name was White. She was a sister of Robert and John White, formerly of this vicinity, now of Washington state. Besides these two brothers, she leaves three sister, Mrs. J. J. Russell, Mrs. Mary Carr and Mrs. Isaac Welsh, all of this place. Two children survive her; these are Riley Carr and Mrs. Henry Boyd, of Union township. Her husband David Carr died over thirty years ago. She came to this county in an early day and has made Louisa her home ever since. She has been sick for a year. During the past few months she has been unable to leave her room. The funeral Tuesday, 10 a. m., conducted by Rev. J. C. Beade. The deceased had long been a consistent member of and an active worker in the Reformed church. her loss will be deeply felt by all who know her.
