The Home for the Friendless for Betty Auchard

I would like to know if anyone reading this lived at The Home for the Friendless in Cedar Rapids between 1937 to 1940?

Also, I would like to find out if there is any connection between The Home in Cedar Rapids and others like it that bore the SAME NAME (The Home for the Friendless)in the late 1800's and early 1900's. The states between New York and the heartland adopted children from the orphan trains, and the children who did not get adopted were taken care of and taught a trade in these institutions. Many of them were called "The Home for the Friendless." I think there's a connection between the Cedar Rapids home and others with the same name. I look forward to hearing from anyone who can shed light on the subject.

Thank in advance,
Betty Peal Auchard
