I am looking for information about the Morrison Manufacturing Co., makers of plows and farm implements. The company was started in Fort Madison, IA in 1862 by Samuel Dimmick Morrison, whose wife was Maria Blacker, with their 2 sons, Dennis Augustin Morrison and Joseph Blacker Morrison. Col. After the father retired, the company was known as Morrison Bros. Col. Morrison eventually bought out his brother's interest and the company was incorporated sometime in the late 1880s as Morrison Manufacturing Co. Col. Morrison died in 1904 and presumably, the business was sold by him or his sons, Vincent Espy Morrison and William Iverson Morrison, all born in Fort Madison, IA.
