Thank you very much for this information! Can you provide the source? Is it an obit of Smith? From which paper? My interest in this relates to another daughter in this family. Her name is Josephine Katherine Proctor. She left home and apparently was declared dead, but then showed up (perhaps thinking there was an inheritance) after this family was murdered. She was considered a possible victim in the Boulder Jane Doe case (see www.boulderjanedoe.com) but has now been ruled out, since she showed up alive in 1962.
