Horatio Nelson Merritt's family history

According to the book by Merl E. Arp, Horatio Nelson Merritt, son of the Jones County pioneer, John Merritt, wrote a long letter in 1910 containing information about the Merritt family history. The person in possession of the letter at the time the book was written has since passed away. Does anyone know where or how I might find a copy of this letter? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
