HOLUB

HOLUB, POSHLISTAPOWLISHTA, RYBIN

I'm working on a family history of Joseph Holub b.1823/1824 Bohemia. His son is also Joseph Holub b. 1849 in Bohemia who married Mary Powlishta/Poshlista b. 1855 Iowa. The next generation has three children born in Iowa (John, Joseph F., and Annie Mae) and then the next ones are born in Saline Cty Nebraska. Our written record shows the family moving from Nebraska to Arkansas. However, I am having trouble connecting this family with Iowa roots and more trouble tracing the family further back. I am wondering if somehow there is a mix up since Holub is such a common name.
