HENRY KREY died last night in Monticello
The death of Henry Krey occured at the John McDonald Memorial hospital at midnight last night. He had been confined to his bed for two weeks and had been in failing health for more than a year. Mr Krey was born november 14, 1867 in Ostfriesland, Germany. He was the son of the late John and Ferke Marguerita Krey. He emigrated to the United States at the age of 17 yrs and settled in Cass township. He was married more than 35 years ago to Meta Steinblock in Cass township.
There were four daughters and two sons born to this union, viz: Margaret, Frieda, Alvina, Matilda, and John and Henry. The youngest son, Henry conducts the home farm in Cass township. Mr Krey is survived by one sister, Gesina, a widow, who still resides in Germany. He also had two brothers, Jack Krey a resident of Monticello, and George Krey who lives at Strawberry Point. Mr & Mrs Krey removed from their farm in cass township to Monticello four years ago.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 pm Sunday afternoon at St Matthew's Lutheran church. Due to the illness of Rev H Adix, pastor of the church, the services will be in charge of Rev C Mardorf.

Funeral held for MRS KRAY
services held at St Matthew Lutheran Church, Monday July 30, at 2 pm for Mrs Henry Kray, 83, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs George Schoon, Saturday morning at 7:30; burial Oakwood cemetery.
Born in Nordorf, Ostfriesland, Germany on Jan 5, 1873; the daughter of Wuebbe and Feka Husman Steenblock. She came to America at the age of 18 and married Henry G Kray on Dec 21, 1892 at the Wayne Lutheran church by the late Rev Mardorf.
lived in Anamosa, Strawberry Point and Castle Grove until 1925, then to Monticello.
Preceded in death by her husband in 1931, a son, John Kray, and a daughter Mrs Henry (Frieda) Ortgies; Mrs Kray leaves surviving her 3 daughters & a son: Mrs John (Margaret) Brokens, & Henry Kray both of Anamosa; Mrs George (Alvina) Dirks of Amber and Mrs George (Matilda) Schoon of Monticello; 24 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and a brother living in Germany.
Pallearers were granchildren of Mrs Kray: Benhard Brokens, Alvin Ortgies, Donald Kray, Albert kray, Marion Dirks and LaVern Schoon.

as far as the parents of Tjark and above Henry, they probably died and are buried in Germany. you could also check the ships that came in from Germany, according to ages that they came to United States
