OXFORD JUNCTION--Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, Sept. 24, at Sacred Heart church, Oxford Junction, at 9:30 for Mrs. Fanny O'Hara, 87, who had lived in the Oxford Junction community all her life.

She died Saturday, Sept. 21, at Jackson County hospital, Maquoketa, where she had been taken after she had fractured her hip. Body was taken to the Haylock and O'Hara funeral home, Maquoketa, and returned to Sacred Heart church, Oxford Junction, Tuesday for burial. Rev. Joseph Kissling conducted the service. Burial was in the Mayflower cemetery, Oxford Junction.

Mrs. O'Hara was born in Jones county, Fanny Ritchie, Nov. 28 1875, daughter of Frank and Anna Kvasnicka Ritchie. She was united in marriage to John O'Hara March 2, 1905, in St. Mary's Catholic church, Oxford Junction.

They farmed for a number of years, retiring to their home in Oxford Junction 40 years ago. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church and the Altar and Rosary society.

She is survived by two sons, J. Cyril O'Hara, Oxford Junction, and James, Maquoketa; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and four sisters.
