I was born in Iowa City to a single woman on 28 September 1964.
The name I was given at birth was Douglas Michael Peters.
I would guess that my given surname was the same as my single mother.
I do not know at which hospital I was born.

Within days I was placed in a foster home.
Within weeks after that, I was permanently placed in a loving family through Lutheran Social Services.

Now, approaching my 40th birthday, I am hoping to thank my birth mother for placing me up for adoption and to learn of any siblings or extended family that may exist.

I would guess that my mother was between 15 and 30 in 1964. That means that she would now be between the age of 55 and 70.

Thank you in advance for any information or suggestions you may have regarding my search.
