Enoch Harrison Hope was born near Morse, Johnson county, March 8, 1862, and departed this life Oct. 10, 1924. He was united in marriage to Mary Catherine Adams, Oct. 16, 1889, and moved to the present home the following spring, where they have since resided. Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn his going, his cousins, David and William Hope of Atlantic, Iowa, and Glenn Hope who has made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Hope for the past twelve years, and a host of friends.

The funeral was conducted at the home Monday morning at 10 o'clock by Rev. John Denman, formerly of Morse, and interment was made in Morse cemetery.

Several came from a distance to attend the funeral: David Hope and daughter, Mrs. Clarence Smith, Atlantic; Wm. Adams, Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dance, Cedar Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Benedict and Mr. and Mrs. Moffitt of Mechanicsville; Mrs. F. Charbon and family, Tiffin; H. D. Adams, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Herbert Albin, West Liberty; and many friends from Solon, Iowa City and West Branch.
